Muscadine grapes are fat free, high in fiber and notably high in Antioxidants, especially Ellagic Acid and Resveratrol.  Studies have found these two antioxidants to be highly valuable to the health of the individual: Ellagic Acid has demonstrated anticarcinogenic properties in the colon, lung, and liver of mice while Resveratrol is reported to lower cholesterol levels and the risk of coronary heart disease.
